The New Economy

You know about the Rapture? The righteous get called to heaven yadda yadda. That happened. The immortals have names like Bezos and Musk. Some say they’re on Mars, and they might as well be.

Down here society runs on muscle memory. The infrastructure crumbles. The police force is a murderous gang. Work is automated, yet working is a moral imperative. The dwindling number of Employed cower in their gated communities. 

Capitalism is a corpse, and we are stuck under it. We beg, barter and steal to stay alive and to buy some forgetfulness.
